Décoration of the Légion des Médaillés de la Constellation du Sud

The Decoration de la Légion des Médaillés de la Constellation du Sud was established in the 19th century by a group of supporters of the Royal House of Araucania in London. The Legion is now under the Grand Mastership of Prince Philippe d'Araucanie. Baron Raoul de Lavalette is the Chancellor.

The decoration is a gilt casting, uniface, with white enamel. The author has seen two versions of the decoration, one which was awarded in 1942 and one which is currently awarded. The differences are minor - slight variation in the laurel leaves. The author has also seen one decoration with a cravat, as if it were for a higher rank. It seems, however, that the decoration is currently awarded only in one rank.
